Choosing the right access equipment for your job
Choosing between a tower, a scaffold, a podium and an access platform comes down to the height, the duration and the work being done. The wrong choice usually shows up as either over-paying for a full scaffold when a tower would do, or trying to do a multi-week job from a tower that doesn't suit it.
Below 6m and for jobs lasting under a week, an aluminium tower is almost always the right answer. Above that, or for jobs lasting longer, a properly designed and erected scaffold becomes more cost-effective and significantly safer.
Aluminium scaffold towers
PASMA-spec aluminium towers from 2m to 12m platform height. Single-width and double-width frames; outriggers and stabilisers as standard above 4m.
Acrow props & strongboys
Adjustable steel props in sizes 0–4 (1.07m–4.88m) and strongboys for opening-up works. Tested, tagged and supplied with timber spreaders.
Edge protection
Permanent and temporary edge protection systems for flat roofs, mezzanines and excavation edges. Hired by the linear metre.
Trestles & ladder beams
Trestle systems for low-level access (decorating, plastering) and ladder beams for spanning openings. Lower cost than full towers for short-duration low-height work.
